In Korean Food Made Simple, Judy Joo, host of the Cooking Channel’s show of the same name and Food Network regular, brings Korean food to the masses, proving that it’s fun and easy to prepare at home. As a Korean-American, Judy understands how to make dishes that may seem exotic and difficult accessible to the everyday cook. The book has over 100 recipes including well-loved dishes like kimchi, sweet potato noodles (japchae), beef and vegetable rice bowl (bibimbap), and Korean fried chicken, along with creative, less-traditional recipes like Spicy Pork Belly Cheese Steak, Krazy Korean Burgers, and Fried Fish with Kimchi Mayo and Sesame Mushy Peas.

Joel Spira, a successful inventor, first tasted Asian Pears during a business trip in the 1970s and was so enchanted he carried home the seeds for his wife, Ruth Rodale Spira, a botanist, to plant in their backyard, starting this legendary pear farm. Grown by Subarashii Kudamono (“Wonderful Fruit” in Japanese) in Kempton, Pennsylvania, the orchard’s sumo-sized Asian pears are admired for their super crisp taste and firmness – not to mention their large size.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Subarashii Kudamono Asian Pears ship Monday-Thursday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

Unfortunately due to Arizona and California agriculture laws, these pears are unable to ship to these states. Any orders shipping to these states will be canceled and refunded.

• Items arrive ready to enjoy!
• Pears last up to 1 month in the refrigerator, do not store pears at room temperature.
• Dried Asian Pears may be stored in the refrigerator for 1 year or in the pantry for 6-8 months.
• Store Asian Pear Vinegar in a cool dark place.
• Unopened Asian Pear Spread can be stored in the pantry to 1-2 years. Once opened, it may be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
