New Orleans in a box: Central Grocery’s original muffuletta – the 10-inch sesame-loaf sandwich that Salvatore Lupo invented at his Decatur Street French Quarter grocery in 1906 – alongside other Local Legends from the city’s most storied food institutions. The muffuletta ships the same way the Tusa family has made it for three generations: ham, Genoa salami, mortadella, Swiss, provolone, and the house olive salad on a crusty round that gets better the longer it sits.
