It’s a tour of the soup pot that’s warmed New Yorkers for decades. The 2nd Ave Deli has ladled them since Abe Lebewohl opened in 1954, now a James Beard American Classic. All of 2nd Ave Deli’s foods have been Certified Kosher by the International Kosher Council, and are produced and prepared under strict IKC supervision.

This package serves 6-8 people and includes

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• 2nd Ave Deli ships Tuesday & Thursday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Kit ships with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
• Store in the refrigerator for 2-5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.

To Serve

Matzo Ball Soup

• Bring consomme to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer.
• Gently place thawed matzo balls, carrots & noodles into the warm consomme.
• Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until hot throughout.

Split Pea Soup

• Bring soup to a simmer and cook 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until warmed through.
• Top with croutons before serving.
• Enjoy!

Mushroom Barley Soup

• Bring soup to a simmer and cook 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until warmed through.
• Serve and enjoy!

Challah

• Slice challah and serve alongside soup!
