To Serve

Pasta

• Fill a large pot with water: about 4-6 quarts per pound (450g) of pasta.
• Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat. Salt the water (optional, but it boosts flavor).
• Add 1-2 tablespoons of salt per 4-6 quarts of water.
• Add the pasta to the boiling water. Stir immediately to prevent sticking.
• Cook Until “Al Dente” (usually 8-12 minutes). Taste a piece 1-2 minutes before the time is up. “Al dente” means it’s tender but still has a slight bite.
• Pour the cooked pasta into a colander to drain the water. Don’t rinse the pasta, unless you’re making a cold pasta salad. Rinsing washes away the starch that helps the sauce stick.
• Return pasta to the pot or a bowl.
• Toss with sauce, olive oil, butter, or cheese.
• Serve & enjoy!
