The Aberdeen Buttery – Scotland’s answer to the croissant, a laminated, lard-enriched roll from the northeast of Scotland – is one of the rarest things to find outside the UK, and Ackroyd’s in Redford, Michigan has been making them since Al and Silas Ackroyd founded the bakery in 1949. This cinnamon sugar variation takes the buttery’s characteristically flaky, rich, slightly chewy crumb and adds a sweet cinnamon finish. Three per pack; the most indulgent morning roll in the Scottish baking tradition.

• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes

Butteries

• Butteries ship frozen with ice packs, which may thaw during transit.
• Upon arrival, place butteries in the freezer.
• Butteries can be stored in the freezer for up to 90 days, in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or at room temperature for up to 2 days.
• Note: Butteries must be reheated before enjoying.

• Cream
  • Cream arrives ready to enjoy.
  • Unopened cream has a long shelf life, approximately 12 months from date of delivery.
  • After opening, refrigerate and use within 5 days.
  • Do not freeze.

• Jam
  • Jam arrives ready to enjoy!
  • Store unopened jam in a cool, dark and dry place for 12-18 months.
  • Refrigerate jam after opening and consume within 3-4 weeks.
