The kosher knockwurst and frankfurter kit from Liebman’s Kosher Deli – the last of over 100 kosher Jewish delis that once operated in the Bronx, holding its ground on West 235th Street in Riverdale since 1953. The knockwurst is the thick, garlicky, snapping-cased kosher variety; the frankfurter is the classic. Both are the kind of old-school deli staple that Yuval Dekel, who has run Liebman’s since 2002, keeps on the menu as a marker of what this institution was built to preserve.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Liebman’s Deli ships Monday through Friday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• This kit is shipped with ice packs which may thaw partially or fully during transit
• Knockwurst and frankfurters are frozen prior to shipping
• Upon arrival, place the knockwursts, frankfurters, mustard and sauerkraut in the refrigerator. To serve later, place the links and bread in the freezer

To Serve

• Grill knockwurst in frankfurters on direct medium/high heat, rotating frequently for 3 to 4 minutes.
• Can also be cooked in a nonstick skillet over medium/low heat, rotating frequently for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
