Each is made with only the highest-quality ingredients from recipes passed down over generations, in small batches. Flaky pastry dough is enrobed with just enough filling to hold it all together.
Since 1903, Strawberry Hill Baking Co. in Kansas City, Kansas, has been making povitica (pronounced poh-va-TEET-sa), a classic Slovenian swirled pastry stuffed with fillings enrobed in ultra-thin, buttery, flaky pastry dough. Using a povitica recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation, Strawberry Hill Baking Co. makes povitica in flavors like apple cinnamon, cokolada (chocolate), and their signature English walnut.
