Handcrafted by Smith Island Baking Company, these faithful renditions use only real, high-quality ingredients to honor a tradition beloved since the 1800s when families sent these layer cakes with watermen for the autumn oyster harvest to serve as a delicious centerpiece for the community.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Smith Island Baking Company ships Monday-Friday of each week.
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• Cakes ship frozen with dry ice.
• Dry ice may dissipate in transit.
• Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
• Cake may be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months or at room temperature for up to 2 days.
• If refreezing, wrap cake well before storing in the freezer.

To Serve

Cake

• Unwrap cake and thaw covered and at room temperature (NOT in the refrigerator) for 1-2 hours per pound of cake.
• Serve at room temperature, or slightly warmed (~5 seconds in the microwave).
• Top with whipped cream, ice cream, berries, nuts, or your favorite garnish (not included).
• Serve & enjoy!

• Thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes.
