Enjoy Alewel’s national award-winning bacon, succulent ready to serve pulled pork, Grandpa A’s melt-in-your mouth cured and smoked pork chops, and skillet scrambler sausage that is also ready to heat and eat. Do not forget about the all-beef summer sausage and all-beef snack sticks that are made with the same recipe from 1932. What began as a small downtown grocery store in Concordia, Missouri, in 1932 has grown into Alewel’s Country Meats, a fixture of Warrensburg, Missouri. Over the decades, Alewel’s Country Meats has earned recognition, winning numerous national awards for their family’s old-time recipes. Founded by Hugo and Dick Alewel, Alewel’s Country Meats is today run by the family’s fourth generation, who prepare fresh smoked meats, German-style sausage, and homemade specialty products that are loaded with flavor and prepared with care.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE

• Alewel’s Country Meats ships Monday-Wednesday of each week
• Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
• Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!

• The Taste of the farm Gift Box ships with ice packs and frozen
• Upon arrival remove place all items immediately in the fridge or freezer
• Maybe kept refrigerated up to 1 week or frozen for up to 6 months

To Serve Bacon

If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours

*Pan Fry *

• Put cold bacon in cold pan – use medium heat to cook slow until desired doneness

Microwave

• Put 6 slices of bacon on a plate with paper towels on top and bottom cook on high 5 min
• Add 1 min intervals for crispier bacon

Oven

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees
• Put on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 min.
