Description
For more than 30 years, Baton Rouge’s Ambrosia Bakery has been at the center of Louisiana’s Mardi Gras celebrations – and their Traditional King Cake is the reason why. Soft, buttery dough swirled with cinnamon and sugar, this iconic cake arrives shrink-wrapped and undecorated with icing, festive purple, green, and gold sugars, and a traditional plastic baby tucked inside – so you can decorate it yourself and bring the full spirit of Carnival season home to your krewe.

INSTRUCTIONS / STORAGE
- The Ambrosia Bakery ships Monday through Wednesday each week
- Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
- Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight
- King Cake arrives ready to enjoy!
- Store at room temperature in sealed packaging for up to 3 days.
- King Cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
To Serve
- From the refrigerator or from frozen, allow King Cake to come to room temperature before serving.
- Remove King Cake from packaging before decorating.
- If necessary, the icing may be slightly warmed in the microwave for just a few seconds to make spreading easier.
- Spread icing evenly over the top of the King Cake.
- Sprinkle Purple, Green, and Gold sugars over the icing while still wet.
- Slice and serve using the included Ambrosia Cake Knife.
